Picture Yourself as a Volunteer!

If you have a specific interest or background, there are ways you can contribute your time and talent at Cumberland Medical Center. In addition to supporting various clinical and non-clinical departments, the Volunteer Auxiliary manages Lifeline, an in-home emergency monitoring program that provides home bound residents a way to activate an emergency response.

Hospital volunteers also operate the CMC gift shop six days a week to provide an added convenience to patients, visitors and employees.  It is stocked with a variety of snacks, necessities and great gift selections. Proceeds from the gift shop benefit the Volunteer Auxiliary.

Money raised by the Auxiliary funds special projects that benefit patient care while at the hospital. Last year, more than 100 volunteers served 16,557 hours and donated over $67,000 to support special projects that benefit patient care and Cumberland Medical Center. Volunteer shifts are four hours in length one day per week; however some volunteers commit to serving two or three days a week.

Community chaplains, clergy, and pastors are also welcome to volunteer with our hospital’s Chaplain Program.

We are a proud member of Covenant Health, our region’s top performing healthcare network.
