CMC joins Uplands Village for Health Fair, May 4

Cumberland Medical Center will join Uplands Village on Thursday, May 4 for its Community Health Fair from 7 to noon at the Dr. Umang ShahAdshead Hall located at 40 Fletcher Drive in Pleasant Hill.

Interventional Cardiologist, Umang Shah, MD with Cardiology Associates of East Tennessee will speak at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served following the heart health presentation.  

FREE of charge will be: Blood Pressure, Pulse Oximetry Readings, and Glucose Finger Sticks. Lab work for $15 each include: a fasting Complete Blood Count, ABO & Rh Blood Type, Comprehensive Metabolic Profile, Hemoglobin A1C, and a fasting Lipid Profile. PSA prostate screening is $27; Thyroid Profile is $40, and Vitamin D screening is $50. Please note: cash, checks or credit card payments for screenings will be accepted at time of service.

Additional health information will be available from Cumberland Medical Center’s Cardiology Services, Diabetes Center, Sleep Center, Wellness Complex, Endoscopy Outpatient Center, Hyperbaric & Wound Care, Lifeline Medical Alert System, Regional Breast Center, and Regional Cancer Center.

Cumberland County Sherriff’s Department will hold a Prescription Drug Take Back station to assist those who need to properly dispose of unwanted and/or outdated medications. This is a free community service.
