CMC, Healthier TN Launch Healthier U Challenge
Healthier Tennessee of Crossville/Cumberland County has partnered with Cumberland Medical Center’s Wellness Complex in Crossville to present a unique opportunity for eight individuals through its new Healthier U Challenge.
“Getting regular physical activity can increase your energy levels, improve your mood and reduce your risk of disease,” says Healthier Tennessee’s Colleen Wright. “This challenge is a great way to get started on the path to a healthier lifestyle.”
The Healthier U Challenge is for those who aren’t physically active, but would like to improve their overall health and endurance.
“We’re excited to rollout the Healthier U Challenge,” said Charlotte Walker, CMC Wellness Complex Manager. “Our mission is to serve the community by improving the quality of life through better health.”
Those who are interested in making a commitment to improve their health through individual and group exercise sessions with a certified fitness trainer are encouraged to apply. The selected group will celebrate their success by participating in the Panther Dash 5K on Saturday, November 11th at Stone Memorial High School.
The challenge will begin in April, and there is no cost to participate. Those who are selected and accept the challenge will have their progress followed as they celebrate milestones towards making themselves a Healthier U.
Because of limited spots, those who are interested must apply for consideration.
Healthier U Applications are being accepted through Wednesday, March 1, 2017 and can be submitted to Charlotte Walker at firstname.lastname@example.org or in person at 130 Woodmere Mall, Crossville. For questions, please call (931) 456-8870.
