Cumberland Medical Center is pleased to announce that Muhammad Qasim Salar Mir, MD, has recently joined the Medical Staff as a Pulmonary Specialist.  Dr. Mir earned his Post Doctorate in Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine.  He completed his residency of Internal Medicine and his Pulmonary Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville.  

 

Dr. Mir is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and of the American Board of Pulmonology.  As a pulmonary specialist, he will focus on the treatment of Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, emphysema and chronic cough. He also has an interest in managing the care of cystic fibrosis patients.  He is trained in providing bronchoscopy services as well as pulmonary function testing to meet the needs of pulmonary patients. Dr. Mir and his family make their home in Crossville.
