Cumberland Medical Center works with new physicians in setting up their practices and offers practice management assistance for those wanting the service. Computerized billing is available through the hospital's management information systems department and computerized medical records in the physician offices and hospital will be available in the future. CMC also assists in directing physicians interested in group practices in the community who have expressed needs.
With a population of approximately 50,000, the Cumberland Plateau serves as the educational, business and medical center to more than 150,000 people in the surrounding region.
