Cumberland Medical Center’s Skilled Nursing Facility is a 20 bed hospital-based nursing facility designed to enhance the spectrum of care available to the community and offer an alternative discharge option for patients, families and physicians. Our mission is to provide a short-term, hospital-based continuum of quality health care to the patient in need of certified skilled services.

The CMC Skilled Nursing Facility serves to ease a patient’s transition from the acute care hospital setting into an individualized rehabilitation program. The CMC Skilled Nursing Facility is specifically designed to meet the needs of the gerontological patient requiring short-term skilled care. The hours of operation for referrals and admission are 24 hours a day. Because its mission is to provide short term skilled nursing facility care (average length of stay less than 30 days), it is not Medicaid certified and does not provide long-term care. The CMC Skilled Nursing Facilty is Medicare certified and JCAHO accredited.
