The Same Day Surgery Unit at Cumberland Medical Center is a 38 bed outpatient unit located on the 4th floor. Hours of service are 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Same Day Surgery Suite at CMC offers a variety of services both surgical and non-surgical. Surgical procedures include general ophthalmic, orthopedic, gynecological, urological, ENT, and neurovascular. Non-surgical procedures include blood transfusions, IV antibiotic therapy, intravenous infusions, phlebotomy, venous access device maintenance, injections, and skin tests.

Special Services provided by the unit include outpatient chemotherapy and laser procedures of the eye.

Outpatient procedures are done in a timely manner, enabling patients to recover in the comfort of their own homes, and making their outpatient treatment experience as convenient and cost-efficient as possible.

Visitors under 12 years of age are not permitted on the Same Day Surgery Unit.
