WELLNESS COMPLEX WINS BUSINESS JOURNAL OVATION AWARD

The Cumberland Medical Center Wellness Complex was a winner in the 10th annual Ovation Awards announced by the Cumberland Business Journal, a regional publication that reports on area businesses in 15 counties that make up the Upper Cumberland. Winners were announced in the July 2010 issue. The Wellness Complex won in the “Excellence in Professional Services” category.

The Wellness Complex was also recently voted “the Best Health Facility” in Cumberland County by readers of the Crossville Chronicle.

The Journal referred to the Complex’s two locations, both offering modern facilities with state of the art equipment. Also noted were the wide variety of aerobic and aquatic classes, support groups, and programs. Assistance and guidance given by a staff of certified personal trainers, certified aerobic and aquatic instructors, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, and licensed massage therapists was another plus.
The article referenced the Complex’s 4,000 members and the fact they make 250,000 visits to the two facilities each year.

In October 2007, the Wellness Complex celebrated its tenth anniversary and was honored by the Tennessee House of Representatives for being an “exemplary institution” that promotes good health in a manner that earns a positive response from the community.
