Celebrate Nurses Week – May 6 – 12, 2008

Cumberland Medical Center is proud to recognize National Nurses Week which will be celebrated May 6 – 12, 2008.

Annually, National Nurses Week begins on May 6, the traditional National Nurses Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession.

National Nurses Week was created to honor the nurses that provide care to millions of patients each day of the year. Cumberland Medical Center would like to take this is opportunity to honor the dedication, commitment, and tireless effort given by the approximately 500 nursing personnel on staff for providing quality care seven days a week, 365 days a year.
