AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY’S 2008 RELAY FOR LIFE OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF

The American Cancer Society’s 2008 Relay for Life was officially started at the recent Team Captains’ kickoff meeting on Thursday, January 17th, 2008, in the Cumberland Medical Center Conference Center. As a special treat for the Team Captains, the crowd was entertained by the Blues Brothers! During the high energy kickoff, many teams were honored for their efforts in the 2007 Relay for Life event. Pictured here is Steve Sweeney – Relay for Life Logistics chairperson who accepted an award on behalf of PEG Broadcasting; Lisa Percy Bolin – Relay for Life Corporate Sponsorship chairperson; and Villa Edwards – Relay for Life chairperson who accepted an award on behalf of Cumberland Medical Center.


Dates for future team captains’ meetings are: February 21st, March 13th, and April 10th. All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are being held in the CMC Conference Center.
