CUMBERLAND MEDICAL CENTER WELCOMES DR. MOHAMED HEIKAL, M.D.

Cumberland Medical Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Mohamed Heikal to its active medical staff in September, 2007. Dr. Heikal's specialty is Pulmonary Medicine / Critical Care.

Dr. Heikal is a licensed physician in the State of Tennessee. He is Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. He completed his medical training at Southern Illinois University. In July 2007, he successfully completed a two-year Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship which included extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorder breathing patients, narcolepsy, insomnia, sleep timing disorders, parasomnias and sleep related movement disorders.

Dr. Heikal completed a Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Rochester in 2005 and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Chicago Medical School in 2004. He earned his Medical Degree at Cairo University School of Medicine in 1998. Since graduating medical school Dr. Heikal has volunteered extensively, presented as a speaker at Pulmonary and Critical Care conferences, published medical journal articles and does ongoing research work.

Dr. Heikal began his practice in Tennessee in July, 2007. His office is located at 49 Cleveland Street, Suite 210 of the Medical Plaza. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
