FREE HEALTH FAIR TO BE OFFERED
AT FFG FIRST
BAPTIST CHURCH
Worried about health care? Worried about outliving your assets?
Worried about the myriad of problems associated with retirement
and aging? Want to ensure a longer life? Want to improve your quality
of life?
Come to the free Health Fair on Friday, September 14, 2007,
1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., at the Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church.
Whatever your interests or concerns, it will probably be addressed,
as we have assembled a group of experts in their fields. Learn
about the latest developments, procedures and information. The
Health Fair is co-sponsored by the Cumberland Medical Center, Cumberland
County Bank, and Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church.
Well-known
allergist Dr. Bob Overholt of the “Dr. Bob Show” will
be featured as a primary speaker. Dr. Bob, finalist for the prestigious
2007 Telly Award, will provide secrets to a healthier, happier
life. (The “Dr. Bob Show” is available on PBS TV on
Thursday and Saturday.) Dr. Overholt will speak at 5:00 p.m.
Also
providing critical information will be Dr. David McKinney. Dr.
McKinney will discuss Coronary Artery Disease and the importance
of the Saint Thomas Chest Pain Center at Cumberland Medical Center.
Dr. McKinney will speak at 3:00 p.m.
Certified Financial Planner
(CFP) Gene Holloway will speak on retirement finance. Mr. Holloway,
located in the Fairfield Glade branch of the Cumberland County
Bank, having met the stringent education, experience, ethical and
examination requirements to be certified as a financial planner,
has many years experience in retirement planning. He also has a
solid background in insurance matters. Mr. Holloway will speak
at 2:00 p.m.
Linda Hassler, a registered dietitian and nutrition
counselor, will speak on Diabetes Awareness at 1:00 p.m.
A specialist
in elder law will discuss various pertinent senior issues.
All speakers
will be available for brief question and answer sessions after
their presentations.
Also, there will be free glucose testing, free
blood pressure/pulse checks, and displays of durable medical equipment.
Representatives from Air Evac Lifeteam will be on hand to provide
information on the membership-supported emergency medical services
company.

five-hour program will be held at the Fairfield Glade First Baptist Church,
5160 Peavine Road, Fairfield Glade. This is open to the public, and anyone
in Cumberland County is invited and encouraged to attend. What you learn may
save your life.
Free refreshments will be available. For those who need assistance,
valet parking will be provided. For further information, call the
