| CUMBERLAND
MEDICAL CENTER GETS NEW BOARD MEMBER
The
Cumberland Medical Center Board of Directors welcomed a new board
member to its group by electing Dr. Ernest G. Buchanan, IV.
Dr. Buchanan, who specializes in family practice at Physician Associates
on South Main Street, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee
in Memphis. His Internship and Residency were completed at the University
of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Buchanan is board certified by the
American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American
Academy of Family Practice, American Medical Association, and the
Tennessee Medical Association.
He and his wife Teresa have three children, Seth, Sarah, and Sean.
“We are really looking forward to working with Dr. Buchanan
as a member of our Board of Directors; he will be a valuable addition.
With his knowledge of the challenges that the medical staff faces
each day and his interest in doing the best for his patients, I
know that he will add a keen insight to our discussions and decisions,”
said Jim McMackin, President/CEO, Cumberland Medical Center.
Cumberland Medical Center also re-elected Ed Anderson, Kenneth Burnett,
Dr. Larry Reed, and Cosby Stone to the Board of Directors for three
additional years of service.
Members of the CMC Board of Directors are: J.W. Brown, Chairman
of the Board; Ed Anderson, Vice Chair; Robert Couch, Secretary/Treasurer;
Dr. Jim Barnawell, Dr. Ernest Buchanan IV, Kenneth Burnett, Robert
Harrison, Jim McMackin, Dr. Reynaldo Olaechea, Dr. Larry Reed, and
Cosby Stone.
