GENEVA RUSSELL REPRESENTS CMC AT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Geneva Russell RN, CGRN, Director of Endoscopy Services at Cumberland Medical Center had the honor of being selected by the Tennessee Society of Gastroenterology Nurses to be representative for the state in a recent Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL. The conference was a 3-day event held on October 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2006. It included representatives from all 50 states. It was a networking event designed to enhance future state leadership roles in the field of Gastroenterology Nurses. Geneva currently represents the State Society of Gastroenterology Nurses as the Director of the Middle TN Division. She has held numerous state offices in her state society as Education Chairperson and Points Chairperson. Being involved in the society has been a challenging, self-fulfilling opportunity and has allowed Cumberland Medical Center to stay abreast of new and current events and practices in the national field of Gastroenterology.
