Dave Kirk is the Premiere Sponsor of the Cumberland County Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Alumni Golf Tournament

Cumberland County Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation Alumni have received a significant financial boost from Dave Kirk Chevrolet-Olds-Cadillac. Dave Kirk Automotive has signed on as the premiere sponsor for the golf tournament slated for May 9, 2006. The 18-hole, four-man scramble at Deer Creek Golf Course will feature a wide variety of prizes and gifts for all. Longest drive (men and women), and closest to the pin, are just a few of the fun events which are planned for the day.

In addition to corporate sponsors many area business and individuals sponsor tees and greens as part of their donation to the cardiac-pulmonary rehabilitation alumni.

Last year approximately $9,000.00 dollars was donated to the rehabilitation scholarship program. The scholarship provides financial assistance to individuals who may not be able to afford rehab services after suffering from a cardiac or pulmonary event. In most cases individuals who suffer cardiac or pulmonary disease are covered by medicare, however, sometimes not all insurance covers this service. The Alumni feel strongly that rehabilitation is an important part of recovery and quality of life.

If you have heart disease or a loved one who suffers from Cardiac or Pulmonary Disease, and would like to donate to the Cardiac/Pulmonary Alumni, please contact Vickie Myers, RN Team Coordinator at Cumberland Medical Center 456-7379.
