DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP MEETING
On Monday, March 15, 2010 at 6:00
p.m., Cumberland Medical Center’s Diabetes
Support Group will meet at the Crossville Wellness Complex conference room. Dr.
Rabih Hijazi, endocrinologist will present ‘Medications: Are
You Helping Them Do Their Job?” Anyone with diabetes
and their family members are invited to attend. There is no cost for the
support group meetings.

DR. BARRY WAGNER NAMED PRESIDENT-ELECT OF CMC, EFFECTIVE
JANUARY 1, 2010
Dr. Barry Wagner has been named
President-elect of Cumberland Medical Center, effective January
1, 2010. The CMC Board
of Directors announced this decision following its November
23, 2009 meeting. Dr. Wagner will serve with Edwin S.
Anderson, Chief Executive Officer, in a transition period
through July 2010. At the end of the transition period,
Dr. Wagner will be named CEO for CMC. The selection
was based on an ad hoc committee’s recommendation to

VETERAN RECEIVES
MEDALS AFTER 54 YEARS
Sapp was drafted into the military on April 6, 1953, while
living in Crossville, TN. He was sent to Ft. Lewis, Washington
for basic training and was attached to the 44th division of
the Illinois National Guard. After boot camp, he was stationed
at Ft. Lewis, Washington for anti-aircraft training for 16
