Nearly 30,000 plus people are treated annually at Cumberland Medical Center Emergency Department. Round-the-clock coverage and treatment is provided by trauma and general surgeons, as well as orthopedic, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology, critical care, cardiac surgery, hemodialysis, and microvascular surgery specialists.

Emergency Care like CMC must meet criteria that ensure trauma care capability and institutional performance. CMC must also provide hospital resources necessary for emergency care, along with the entire spectrum of care to address the needs of all injured patients.

The ambulance service provides both emergency and inter-facility transportation for area residents.
