June 2 - Summer Aerobic Incentive – Begins June 2 (ends August 22.) Prizes will be given to participants as follows: 1st Place 84-classes, gets 3 months added to their contract. 2nd place-72 classes, gets 2 months added to their contract. 3rd place-65 classes, gets 1 month added to their contract. Drawing for 1st place is choice of athletic shoes, golf package, or I-pod. Drawing for 2nd place is choice of remaining two items listed above. After completing 21 classes, participants will receive a Wellness Complex wrist band. After completing 42 classes, participants will receive a Wellness Complex water bottle.

June 2 - Insulin Support Group, 1:00 p.m. at the FFG Wellness Complex. The program will be presented by Medtronic MiniMed. Anyone with an insulin pump and their family members are invited to attend.

June 9 - Cumberland County Cardiac Support Group Picnic, 10:00 a.m. will be held at Centennial Park. Hope to see you there.

June 12 - Senior Health and Inspiration Day at the Crossville Community Complex, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A fun filled morning with physicians and health professionals speaking on senior needs: health screenings for blood pressure, colon cancer, and diabetes, diabetes cooking demonstration, mini massages, with many exhibits. It’s all free! Attendees will also have any opportunity to join the Wellness Complex with free enrollment. Take advantage of this wonderful community event by joining us at the Community Complex. A free lunch and door prizes will certainly make this a morning to remember.

June 16 - Boot Camp. You’ve read about it, now it’s time to try it. Six weeks of challenging, fun, and group workouts. It’s all the workout you will need to get in shape. Two available classes: 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Childcare is available. Cost for members is $100, non-members $120. See you there!

June 16 - Diabetes Support Group presents “Diabetes Bingo” with Kathy Tyree from Animas Corp - 1:00 pm. If you have diabetes and like to play bingo, this will be the meeting designed for you.

June 19 - The Cumberland County Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab Alumni will sponsor an educational seminar on Pulmonary Rehabilitation at 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Conference Center at Cumberland Medical Center located on the second floor. This program will focus on the correct use of inhalers, pulmonary function tests, sleep apnea, and oxygen equipment. If you would like to attend this seminar, please contact Vicki Myers, RN at 459-7379. Lunch will be provided.
