The patient escort division of the Admitting /Outpatient Department has been restructured and new personnel have been hired to assist the existing patient escorts in their roles as CMC Ambassadors. The Ambassadors are stationed under the covered Admitting/Outpatient canopy. When a patient enters, the Ambassador proceeds to assist the patient and his/her family into the building and will guide the patient through the admitting process, necessary diagnostic and lab tests, pre-admission counseling, and more.

While the Ambassadors still handle all patient escort functions within the facility, their duties and responsibilities have been expanded to encompass as many of Cumberland Medical Center’s patients’ needs as possible. They are easily distinguishable by their uniforms and are available Monday through Friday, 6a.m. – 6p.m.
